Mar'tich
A male dragon weighing in over a ton and several tens
of meters long. He is covered from head to tail tip in red scales that have a
very metallic appearance to them. When he appeared on Earth in February of
2005, the ancient and shrewd beast realized quickly that he had to act with
some semblance of subtlety.
Watching and waiting, Mar'tich learned the basic
pattern of the forest he was hiding in, including the people that visited it.
He confronted a biker with an enormous golden coin that had crossed over with
him. "You can have this, if you act as my voice to others of your kind, and
play the part of an ear for myself.", was his offer. The biker, one Samson J.
Kiz, was all too eager to take up the job. The pay was certainly good enough.
Within a short month, the dragon arranged to be shipped
into town on a flat bed truck and was hired as a 'guard dog' for an upper
class security firm. Any clientele willing to spend enough can pay to have
mar'tich personally guard their property. A steal at 5,000$/week. Mar'tich
enjoys room and board, and a stipend of 1,000$/week in addition to protection
from anti-otherworldans and any possible complications with the MEC.

Dr. Taneel
A biologist working for a private lab, this thirty five
year old female is the leading advocate in extreme measure against the
Otherworldans. "All we need is information. Unlock the differences between
their biology and ours, and we can drive them out with the worlds own natural
anti-body.", she states, referring to germ warfare and other biological
weapons.
People rally behind Taneel, seeing an easy quick
solution to the problems. With some Otherworldans proving resistant or immune
to more casual methods of destruction, the appeal of a method they cannot
resist is great indeed. Despite the backing she and her lab are now receiving,
she has made no announcement of definitive progress towards an Otherworldan
bio-weapon.

Flowing River
Born and raised in a small town of Idaho, this
previously unremarkable man exploded onto the scene in late December, 2004.
"Be a master of your powers", he promised listeners of his informercials,
"Control forces beyond your imagination!" He dresses in a manner one might
expect of a sorcerer of the dark ages with a wide variety of robes and funny
looking hats. What he lacks in fashion sense, he more than makes up with his
cold effecient training of magi.
His group, the 'Band of Tardis', gathers more and more
bright eyed souls seeking magic. What is his ultimate goal with all these
trained wizards? He hasn't said. The few people who have been allowed inside
the camp area report that the training exercises seem at least as effective as
the MEC's. When a rare Tardis mage is seen in action in public, they work with
intense power that contradicts their short training time.
His group has made no move concerning the dungeons.
Neither attacking, Delving, or assisting anything that happens relating to
them. Flowing River has no official comment concerning them, or Otherworldans
for that matter. There are no Otherworldans known in the Band of Tardis.

Thomas Khale
Born in 1973, he was the first scientist to examine an
Otherworldan. With his slight edge on information and his charismatic
demeanor, he managed to get himself assigned as the head of the MEC. He
maintains that his interest is largely scientific. "There's so much we can
learn from these.. So called Otherworldans. Their very existence throws many
of our theories out the window and casts doubt on dozens of laws."
To the average agent, Khale is a name that just means
'Boss'. Many have never personally met the man, but have heard stories about
one thing or another. His record is reasonably clean, insofar as his job
goes. The threat has been kept at bay and outside major cities. The efficiency
of his organization has won him international recognition and acceptance,
allowing him to open branches of the MEC aboard.
While he claims that this is all 'for the good of
mankind', many of those who know Khale personally speculate that he is more
interested in studying the patterns and various types of Otherworldans than
actually combating them.

KKK
The Infamous racist organization was quick to announce
its decision concerning the Otherworld, its inhabitants and the dungeons.
"Earth is for humans."
Belligerent and close minded, the KKK will seek out and
teach bloody lessons to any Otherworldan foolish enough to fall into their
hands. This is helped by the lax laws concerning Otherworldan brutality.
A minor blessing, the African American communities can
take a light breath. With so many otherworldans and so little protection, the
KKK is quite busy with their new victims to pay much mind to the increasingly
sheltered black community.

John 'Ghost Slayer' Goldstien
In October of 2004, Mr. Goldstien found himself capable
of interacting with the dearly departed. While this is usually an unworthy
event for fame, John took it to an entierly new level. When he communed with
the great beyond, the beyond made it known. Spectral visages and voices
accompanied his services without fail, leaving little room for doubt in his
abilities.
As good as 'Crossing Over', the last show about getting
in touch with your dead relatives, John's 'Through the Barrier' dwarfed it in
short order. How could one hold question when the one they wanted to reach is
standing before them and asking them how they were doing? Of the hundred
episodes taped, only thirty were suitable for television viewing however. It
seems that the dead have forgotten all sense of social etiquette.
How John got his curious nickname stems from the fact
that after he communes with a particular ghost, it goes away. This includes
those who are haunting a particular area or person, doubling his usefulness as
an exorcist.

The Order of St. Patrick and St. Peter
A group of thirty Protestant priests based out of Dublin, who've devoted
themselves to once-again ridding Ireland of snakes. And reptiles. And
especially dragons. Having found a new, positive use for the old IRA
stockpile, they've a surprising track record for successfully driving the
beasts back off the island.

Miss Treval
A private citizen with no backing, training, or magical
talent. She's made quite a stir in the media by entering and exiting from over
ten different dungeons without any weapons or armor to protect herself. "The
dungeons aren't inherently violent.", she insists, "If you play along with
what they are already doing, it will leave you alone."
Treval has sold her book, 'Inside Purgatory', a journal
with explicit details on what she's seen in every Delve she's done. The MEC
has no official word on the journal, but it has been quoted as a good resource
for their agents in understanding what to expect inside.
Critics call Treval a mad woman for risking her neck.
More so for the fact that she didn't actually return with anything save her
notes. All those delves, and not a single artifact, it's unheard of.
